What We Know About NBA 2K20 So Far

NBA 2K20 Cover Athletes

The official NBA 2k20 cover athlete is the newest Los Angeles Laker, Anthony DavisDavis will be featured on both the standard and deluxe covers. Recently-retired Dwyane Wade will grace the legend-edition cover.

This year marks the three-time NBA champion and 13-time All-Star Wade’s first NBA 2k cover appearance. Prior to being on the 2k20 cover, Davis was one of three main cover athletes for NBA 2k16. The 26-year-old six-time All-Star features along with Stephen Curry and James Harden on that cover.

Pricing and Bonuses

In addition to news about the cover athletes, more details about 2k20 itself have become public. The standard edition will be on sale for $59.99, the deluxe for $79.99, and the legend edition for $99.99. Each edition of the game will come with its own pre-order bonuses, involving varying amounts of virtual currency and various in-game perks.

NBA 2K20 Will Include WNBA Features

Possibly the most exciting news we’ve heard about the game so far is the addition of the WNBA. While game-makers have confirmed nothing about what kind of presence the NBA’s female counterpart will have in 2k20, WNBA players A’ja Wilson and Renee Montgomery were in the game trailer.

In past versions of NBA 2K, fans complained about there being just minuscule changes are made from year-to-year, game-to-game. Most changes each year are graphics-related. This year, adding WNBA components to the game is exciting and different, and should please fans of the game. It could also get women involved in the 2k community more and even introduce more fans to the WNBA.
