Partially into his sophomore season in the NBA, former EuroLeague star Luka Doncic has already made himself an MVP candidate. If Doncic was to win MVP this season, he would be the youngest to ever win such an honor. With the increase in his statistics this season, one thing he has already done is made history in the NBA 2K franchise. Luka Doncic NBA 2K history made!

In last year’s installment of the game, NBA 2K19, Doncic received his first 2K rating of 79, making him one of the highest-rated rookies in his class. Throughout his performance on the court, which was enough for him to receive the honor of being the Rookie of the Year, his final rating in 2K19 was 87.

With NBA 2K20’s release, Doncic carried over his 87 overall rating. Since the September release of NBA 2K20, Luka Donic made a 2K franchise record by climbing 9 overall points to become a 96 overall – one of the game’s best.

No other player in the game’s history has ever seen such a dramatic rise in their overall rating. Many players of the game had mixed reactions. Some players, mainly fans of the Dallas Mavericks, loved seeing Doncic as one of the game’s best. Others absolutely hated it, calling the 20-year-old forward overrated.

Through 21 games this season, Doncic is averaging 30.3 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 9.2 assists per game – nearly a triple-double. He is also shooting the ball remarkably well at 47.8 percent. With the Mavs’ addition of Kristaps Porzingis, most assumed there would be a dip in Donic’s stats, but somehow he was able to increase them in every category.

His performance has received high praise.
